Bike with pedals...

Every Friday Konrad goes to a playroom with another neighbor boy. We usually drive together with his mother, however, last Friday it was warm and sunny so we decided to ride bikes. I thought I would take Konrad in the bike trailer, but when he found out his friend who is 1.5 years older than him was riding his bike Konrad wanted to ride his as well. The other little boy has pedals on his bike and Konrad just had his running bike (little bike without pedal...you can see Lara on one in the previous post). The Playroom is 1.7 miles away and Konrad rode his bike the whole way! The other little boy and his mother ended up being faster than we were with their pedals....The next day Konrad asked if pedals were faster and I said yes. Then he said he wanted his pedals put on his bike. Last summer Grandma and Grandpa bought Konrad a bike that could be used without or with pedals and he has been using it without the pedals so far. I took the bike to the bike store and got the pedals put on it on Friday and Saturday he learned how to ride it...He likes to have help getting started, but once he is riding he is fine.
